This year the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (short "SCU") will hold its annual conference in Toronto, Canada. Between July 24 — 26, 2026! Be quick and register now.
A wide spectrum of experts will attend. Ranging from experts in the natural sciences to defence advisors and political figures. According to an SCU-announcement from March 16, 2026, the retired US intelligence official Christopher Mellon will open the event with a keynote.¹

Christopher Mellon worked for 20 years within the United States government, Including as a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for Intelligence.²

The primary theme is: "The Role of Science and Global Governments in UAP Research".
UAP have been garnering an increasingly wider attention in public media. Particularly due to concern for air space safety. This has led to the formation of various civilian, governmental and institutional platforms for the reporting of incidents involving UAP in civilian and commercial air space.³ Hoping to communicate on such matters in a transparent and informative way.

UAP is a complex, multi-facetted phenomenological problem. One perspective on this comes from the research field of exosociology. In his paper "How much time do we have before catastrophic disclosure occurs?" Matthew Szydagis highlights the interconnectivity between society, governments and their various branches, and UAP. Warning about a 14 - 42% chance of uncontrolled disclosure of a first contact event by 2027 - 2036.⁴ Noting, however, the theoretical nature of the study and urging for careful interpretations.

What Is The SCU?

The Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies is a non-profit research organisation. Members come from various disciplines. Primarily from academia, but also governmental bodies, the military or law enforcement. They focus on a scientific study of UAP and regularly publish results from their work. Projects include UAP case studies and advisory work for institutions and legislation makers.
