How To Pitch An Article

As a one-person-show, it is impossible to keep track with all the developments in global UAP research. The topic may be stigmatised in many places. Not every country provides the same amount of publibcly available information. News from east asia are particularly welcome. So are topics originating from southern-/ meso-america and east europe. If you decide to pitch an article, awesome! Please follow the guide below. Submissions that do not adhere to the pitch guide will not be considered.

Article Submission Guidelines

Provide your pitch via E-Mail to info@uap-academia.news.

• Subject line: "Article Submission - [your topic headline]"
• Email body: [a summary of your article proposal]

You are quite free in regards to the E-Mail body but make sure the following key information is included:

• Focus: clearly state the focus of your article.
• Category: if you cannot decide on one, assume "Editor's Note" or state it is up to personal choice.
• Deadline: publication deadline, if you wish for one. Or else I will decide when to publish the article.
• Contact info: I will generally respond to the E-Mail address as provided via the contact form.

Keep your proposal short. Around 200 words. Purely political topics hat have no inherent academic value are not considered. Article submissions about highly speculative subjects such as conspiracy theories, pseudoscientific concepts, esotericism, preculiar topics such as "ancient aliens" or "human-alien-hybrids" are not considered. It is your duty to make sure that your submissions adhere to scientific standards and the ethics of this project. Every pitch will be thoroughly checked for adherence to scientific standards, journalistic ethics and compliance with laws such as privacy, data protection and copyright.

If you are an author of an upcoming or published scientific work, please provide a URL to a copy or a PDF of said work. You may additionally provide a short personal introduction or CV. Depending on the proposal, you may agree that certain personal information such as author name and background are shared with the audience.

Please only one pitch per E-Mail. Use separate E-Mails for individual article proposals.

Response time is 3 business days. Please refrain from sending any additional emails during that time.
