About The Project

uap-academia.news is here to collect, document and report on the latest developments in institutional and non-institutional UAP studies. For years news coverage in popular media has remained focussed on politics. Not to forget baseless speculation and the occasional hint of comedic comentary. Misrepresentation of scientific studies and results respectively is of common occurance. So is throwing these works into the same bin as conspiracy theories and vanity reports. How can there be a way for the common person to objectively learn about UAP research? That is, without prejudice. Without sensationalism. Without the bias of a media outlet or as imposed by political directives.

The scientific study of Unidentified Aerospace and Undersea Phenomena (or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) requires equally rigorous reporting. If you are interested in technical or theoretical works, the people behind them or simply want to stay up to date on them, this is the correct place. UAP Academia News is a science communication platform. Authored by and for scientists and citizens. It is a science news blog and scientific news platform made to inform academics and civilians alike.

As such, it depends on an active community. The editor welcomes you to contribute however you like. Are you a study author? Or is there a story not yet covered on the website? Consider submitting a topic.

Motivation

During personal research into the UAP topic as currently discussed in academia, I have noticed the apparent lack of collective reporting on academic developments within that field. Instead, the majority of UAP news media is focussed on select works. Or politics. Depending on the country from within reporting is done, the adherence to key journalistic principles may be loose. In order to battle misrepresentation of the field, and as a way to fill the gap in scientific reporting, this website came to be. You can learn more about the person behind this project here.

Article Categories

As diverse as the scientific study of UAP is, so is the range of articles. As already introduced, political subjects will not be present on this website unless they are deemed to be relevant in a given academic or scientific context. The following categories are available (as of this first article):
